FAQ
The purpose of this online guidance – clear presentment of whole permanent make up process in a paper sheet (or your computer monitor), from the moment you open my parlor door until you get the finishing result of healed permanent make up zone. Here will be concise and clear information you need to know about the permanent makeup procedure and this information will be available to you at all times. Even before the arrival for the procedure, you will have answers to the most frequently asked questions, you will know the course of the procedure, the processes of healing in the body.
Long-term make-up, permanent make-up, micropigmentation, tattuage, contour make-up – concepts that describe the same process – the implantation of pigment into the skin with as little trauma as possible.
With the help of long-lasting make-up, the effect of full eyebrows can be restored if you are tormented by thinned eyebrows, by highlighting the eyebrow area and filling in the gaps. With asymmetrical eyebrows, permanent makeup helps to even them out as much as possible, thus reducing the visible asymmetry of the face. With the help of micropigmentation, the shape of lips is corrected (if there is an asymmetry of the lips), the contour of the light lips is highlighted, regardless of whether it is naturally light or lightened due to lesions (herpes, injections, scars, etc.). Permanent eye line makeup is also popular if you want a more open and bright eye effect. This tattuage technique is also successfully used for medical, aesthetic purposes e.g. scar masking, aureole reconstruction, scalp micropigmentation (trichopigmentation), micropigmentation in alopecia patients (hair loss, including eyebrow and eye areas).
- Haemophilia is a rare, usually inherited, in some cases acquired disease characterized by a deficiency of coagulation factors VIII or IX, resulting in a much slower or no coagulation of the blood in a sick person, resulting in a long duration of bleeding.
- Hepatitis is a disease that affects the liver. As the disease progresses, cirrhosis of the liver and even cancer may develop.
- HIV – Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
- Keloid formation
- Cardiovascular problems. At high pressure, anesthetics may not work and there may be increased bleeding.
- Conjunctivitis – acute or chronic inflammation of the conjunctiva.
- Epilepsy
- Grade II diabetes. In diabetes, skin healing is very difficult, and the skin can abscess after micropigmentation.
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs – may bleed heavily.
- Blood dilution medication with coagulation inhibitors.
- Infectious diseases (AIDS, Lyme disease, herpes, salmonellosis, syphilis, runny nose, influenza, tetanus, tuberculosis, angina).
- Skin spots in the pigmentation zone (eczema, warts, melanoma).
- Diseases of the immune system.
- Pregnancy and lactation. During pregnancy, the body may reject the pigment or get a different color. It is not recommended for women to experience stress or pain during pregnancy that could harm their baby.
- Clients should not do long-lasting makeup for 4 weeks before and after chemotherapy treatment, as color pigments will penetrate the skin weakly during this period.
- Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before procedure.
- Do not drink coffee/tea before procedure.
- In the evening before procedure, apply a light exfoliation to the area of the future permanent make-up to remove old skin (facial scrub, coffee grounds, harder honey).
- Do not use painkillers (aspirin, ibuprofen, advil etc.) before the procedure, as they fluidify blood, making the procedure more difficult.
- Botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid fillers in the forehead area are not available for three weeks before the long-term eyebrow makeup procedure.
- Do not sunbathe in the sun / sunbed for a week before the procedure, for two weeks after the procedure.
- Just before and during menstruation, a long-term makeup procedure can be more painful.
- Do not dye eyebrows a week before the intended permanent make-up of eyebrow area.
- Contact lenses and eyelash extensions should be removed before long-term eye make-up procedure.
- Long-lasting lip make-up is done before lip fillers or three weeks after.
- Before permanent lip make-up, it is NECESSARY to moisten so that lips do not flake or dry during the procedure. Scrub them thoroughly with a scrub / coffee grounds / honey the day before procedure. This ensures the removal of dead skin cells, so the pigment is implanted evenly.
There are two ways to care for a damaged area after a long-term make-up procedure.
- The first is when we use a special ointment / Vaseline and moisturize the treatment site, thus speeding up the healing process.
- The second way is DRY healing. After procedure, we wash eyebrows with antiseptic soap and leave them to dry, without applying any additional products for 3 days. My practice has shown that dry healing gives better results.
Dry healing
- After procedure, the affected area is washed with a damp cotton swab until we go to bed.
- Do not irrigate affected area for 2-3 days after the procedure.
- 4 days after procedure, moisten the affected area with product specified by the master 2-3 times a day.
- Do not touch the affected area with your hands as there is a chance of infection.
- Do not peel, rub or otherwise damage the scabs during healing. They must fall naturally.
- Cold compresses can be applied to reduce swelling.
- Do not be in the sun and sunbathe in sunbed for a few weeks. Apply SPF 50 cream to the affected areas before going to sun.
- Do not exercise, do not go to the sauna for 5 days.
- It is recommended not to apply cosmetics on the treatment area until the scabs have peeled off.
- After the lip treatment, be careful when eating spicy, salty or more acidic foods. If possible, drink through a straw to avoid contact with liquids. Also be careful when brushing your teeth.
Redness and / or swelling may be seen, which disappears after few days.
The color is intense, bright. It may seem too dark and unnatural. It is normal.
The final color should be EVALUATED not earlier than after 4 weeks, as the scabs fall after 5-7 days the color is very light, and after a few weeks it darkens.
After a month, the color is about 20-60% lighter than the initial procedure (it depends on your skin, age, body, etc.)
After the micropigmentation procedure of eyelids and lips, greater swelling may occur, which lasts for a day for some and longer for others.
Swelling is effectively reduced by cold. Aseptically place ice / or other cold on the affected area and hold for 15 minutes, repeat if necessary.
If a client has had a lip halter (Herpes Simplex virus) at least once in their life, it is very likely that it will occur 3-4 days after the micropigmentation procedure. If you decide to have long-term lip make-up, it is recommended to take Aciclovir tablets prophylactically, starting on the day of procedure (5 days / 1000 mg per day). You will find all instructions for taking medicines on the package. These drugs are sold both with a prescription (400mg) and without it (200mg). Without taking the medication, the raised herpes can prevent the pigment from implanting in the skin and prolong the healing process of the lips.
After long-term eye contour makeup, there is a chance of developing eye inflammation. This usually happens when hygiene is not ensured after the procedure, eyes are touched with unwashed hands or decorative cosmetics are used too quickly. It is recommended to use anti-inflammatory eye drops only if the initial symptoms of eye irritation occur. If the inflammation of the eye becomes acute, an ophthalmologist should be consulted immediately, who will prescribe eye drops or anti-inflammatory ointments.
1 day
The treatment site is tender and slightly swollen. The color of pigment is too intense, too bright. Don’t worry, this is normal. Possible redness, swelling that will go away after 4 hours. Do not touch the damaged area. Keep it clean as the skin is traumatized and prone to infections. Cold compresses are available in the areas of the lip and eye procedure, which will reduce swelling. After the lip procedure, it is recommended to take herpes virus medications prophylactically.
Day 2-3
Possible dryness, tenderness, itching. Keep the treatment area dry.
Day 5-7
The process of “peeling” (regeneration) begins. For some, the eyebrows can only peel off, for others there are stronger scabs that break, which is normal. Itching may intensify, but DO NOT scratch, tear, rub, or otherwise damage the treatment area.
Day 8-10
The “peeling” process is complete. The area of long-lasting makeup may look uneven, the color is very light, this is normal because the epidermis is still healing, is currently opaque and reddened.
Day 11-28
We are patiently waiting for the color to darken. You can start using decorative cosmetics. Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun as well as limit the time of cosmetics on the treatment area. The skin must regenerate unhindered.
Day 28-42
Your permanent makeup is completely healed. It looks much more natural, easier, brighter than after the first procedure. We evaluate the color when the correction arrives, we analyze not only the intensity of the color, but also its hue. A second layer of pigment is implanted.
HEALING PROCESS STAGES
By asking to do long-lasting makeup as dark as possible, you run the risk of having gray-blue eyebrows. Long-lasting makeup pigments are implanted in the top layer of the dermis, which acts as a filter for the pigment we introduce, applying an extra shade to the skin. Instead, choose soft, lighter and more natural shades. The color intensity of all performed procedures after healing is 50-60% brighter than on the day of the procedure.
If you have already done permanent makeup, you should know how to care for it over the years and understand what causes a decrease in intensity. And why for one fades faster than for another .. 😊
First of all, pigment fading is influenced by the physiological processes of our body. The body’s immune system cells (macrophages) fight foreign bodies – pigment particles. They are “swallowed” out of the body by lymphatic system. Each organism is individual and for some these processes are faster than for others.
The body also has the property of supplying blood to the upper layer of the skin. Thus, from a skin with a capillary lattice, the pigment will disappear faster as there is a greater blood supply to the skin surface.
Pigment fading is also affected by the age of the client. The older a woman is, the longer permanent makeup will last because cell renewal processes are slower than in a young person.
From injured skin, the pigment fades much faster, that is: scars, scarred skin due to poorly done long-term make-up before, herpes scars on the lips.
Skin type affects pigment fading. With oily skin, pigment particles will also be removed faster than for dry skin owners.
Improper care after the procedure also fades long-lasting makeup. Its longevity is affected by the following factors: sunlight, baths, skin scrubs (especially acids), products with retinol (vitamin A) and any cosmetic products or procedures that stimulate blood circulation and promote cell regeneration. The less these areas are exposed externally, the longer the effect remains more pronounced.
In most cases, adjustments are needed. If you have already decided to do the procedure properly, be sure to follow instructions of the master and arrive at time assigned to the correction (usually after 1-2 months). First procedure is more “familiarity” with the client’s skin. The rule – less is more, is great here. We can always highlight and coat a second layer of pigment during correction. Remember, permanent makeup is not decorative makeup that is easy to clean if you don’t like it. After correction, the pigment is distributed more evenly, brighter, faded areas are filled, and the shape is smoothed, so the effect lasts for the longest time. Correction should not be performed earlier than after 4 weeks as skin epidermal cells are completely regenerated every 26-28 days. This is the minimum amount of time you need to wait. During this time, all the damaged areas will fall off or peel off the formed skins (scabs).
Adjustments should be made within 1-2 months period. When the correction arrives later, price changes because it will already be a color update, not a correction.
The shading technique in the world of long-term makeup is relatively new and the most popular. With this technique we can get the result we want. The effect depends on your desires. Gentle, natural or brighter? Before the procedure, I always ask if you dye your eyebrows chemically? Do you do makeup every day? Like a clear eyebrow shape or a light shadow effect? I always advise and recommend what would best suit your skin type and facial features. And I will repeat that less is more, because long-lasting makeup – it is not a decorative cosmetic – it does not come off. After all, we don’t want to get up in the morning with bright makeup that “shines” from afar? Maybe you don’t even want to do make-up that day, so I always recommend choosing the intensity of permanent make-up so that without make-up, your facial features will only stand out and look subtle, beautiful and harmonious. Maybe the eyebrows are permanent and will not look so bright when the make-up is done, but it is not difficult to strike shadows and highlight them when we already have a beautiful and clear shape.
The same shading technique is used for lip micropigmentation, only the pigment implantation methods differ. Using various pigment implantation techniques, we can create a super natural effect, such as the one I called Watercolor Lips. Can we create the same shadow much denser to create a LIPSTICK effect on the lips. Ombre lips, it is a shadow with a change of color from darker to lighter thus giving the lips a plump effect. The main technique used by the masters is shadow technique, only loud names can confuse you. Eg: Baby lips, Wow lips, Kissable Lips, Ombre Lips, Sweet Lips, Ombre eyebrows, Powder eyebrows, Magic eyebrows, Stardust eyes, soft liner, etc. – Sounding names, it’s just MARKETING, the technique of the procedure is the same.
Yes, it is possible, if it was done qualitatively, the pigment was introduced not too densely and not too deeply. If the shades are quite bright, dense and throw into bluish, purple, pink shades, and so on. It is always better to remove such eyebrows with a laser or special removers that “cleanse” the skin. When the old pigment is lightened, it can be repaired or coated.
Anesthetics are used during the procedure, so there is no need to worry about this. It is also recommended not to choose the procedure during menstruation, as the body is more sensitive during this period.
Consultation. Your expectations, wishes and possibilities for the chosen procedure are discussed.
Photograph before the procedure.
Sketch drawing. We choose the final version by mutual agreement.
If the body is sensitive, anti-hypersensitivity drugs (anesthetics) are applied during the procedure.
Micropigmentation is performed by implanting the pigment into the skin.
At the end of the procedure, a photograph is made.
After the procedure, proper home care is introduced.
We book a visit for correction, which can be done no earlier than 4 weeks and no later than 2 months.
There are no strict rules if the lip shape is not greatly enhanced by hyaluronic fillers. But if you plan to greatly increase the volume of your lips, I always recommend first to do long-lasting lip makeup first, then make injections for the lips.
Permanent makeup usually lasts for 1 to 3 years. It depends on the technique of the master, the pigments chosen, your skin type and other factors. Remember, a perfectly done job is when after 2-3 years long-lasting makeup is significantly faded, not the one that will be as bright as it was, and still with unwanted shades. Over the years, the tissues of the human face are exposed to dynamic forces and gravity. To correct the shape of such makeup or renew the shade, it will be easier in the future if the permanent makeup is faded and does not need to be removed with a laser or special removers, which is painful and costs extra money for you.

Jei nesate tikras, ar esate alergiškas tam tikriems pigmentams, geriausia pasidaryti alergijos testą. Jį rekomenduojama atlikti 7d. prieš procedūrą.
Asymmetry is visible in all human faces. We could divide it into acquired (facial) and innate. For example, when mimicking, we raise one eyebrow higher, as well as frequent mimicry – it is frowning, raising one corner of the lips above another with a smile. If you look closely at the mirror, you will notice that the line of the lower jaw is very different on the left and right side – one has sharper edges than the other. There are also differences in eye size, nipple or ear nipple heights, and cheekiness. With the help of micropigmentation it is possible to correct the asymmetry minimally, but it should not be corrected ideally, because a symmetrical drawing on an asymmetrical face will not look right. The drawing should be adapted to the facial expressions, the convexities of the skull, the depressions and the location of naturally growing hairs and the shape of the face.
Most customers know they are allergic to latex, nickel, or other materials. But allergic reactions, although very rare, can occur. It may include severe redness, itching, swelling, rash, blistering, dryness, or any other allergy-related symptoms. If this happens, contact your GP immediately. Allergic reactions can also be caused by improper care at home and through the early use of products or make-up in the treatment area. So follow exactly the guidelines for home care provided by the master. If you are not sure if you are allergic to certain pigments, it is best to take an allergy test. It is recommended to do it 7d. before the procedure.
